カンヌからフェリーで２０分くらいの所にある小さな島、サントノラ島、古くから修道院があって島の住民はみんな修道士達らしい。その修道院でワインが作られていて島の唯一のレストランで海を眺めながら味わえるのだ。フランスなのになんかカリフォルニアワインっぽい味でした。カンヌとは違ってと〜っても落ち着いた場所。今度はピクニック持って来たいかも！居る間に雨が降ったんだけどこんな所だとそれも奇麗で気持ちいい。海に落ちる雨って魅しない？

Île Saint-Honorat is a small island 20 minutes from Cannes by ferry where there’s an old monastery. I think only monks live on the island? It’s such stark contrast to Cannes, the island is so calm and peaceful. The monks make wine on this island and there is a nice restaurant (also run by monks) where you can enjoy the wine with a nice view of the ocean and yachts passing by. This was perfect for a mellow lunch on vacation! The island is full of beautiful nooks perfect for a picnic, I think I know what to do next time I’m in this neighborhood! On the way back, it rained. And it was beautiful! I normally don’t like rain, but it was just so hypnotizing. It pays to get away from the city some times!
