November 25: Tuome

This is Tuome‘s “The pig out”! It’s ok to believe the hype! Super crunchy skin, almost like toffee (it gets sticky in your mouth) and melt-in-your-mouth meat. The ginger sauce and sambal a must but also good just as is since its sitting on hoisin sauce (a la peking duck). Loved that the salad had persimmons and was a great palate cleanser. The pig out comes with some peanut noodles but I really liked the sticky rice steamed in a lotus leaf that I ordered on the side. It’s addictive and quite possibly the best thing I ate tonight.  Just imagine this: kale, chinese sausage, and duck fat, in a lotus leaf perfumed soft sticky rice.
