Nikko Tōshōgū

A mini trip to go say hello to God in Nikko, Japan. In general, everything in Japan tends to feel small and compact but it greatly differs when it comes to God’s home (shrines). It’s grand and spacious. Surrounded by tall tall trees that have been around for so long. It feels good to look up and feel it’s grandioseness. The Toshogu Shrine (UNESCO) is impressive but also curious. The design and colors felt like they were influences from India and China. Brighter contrasts and gold. I guess it makes sense. Hello 2017.
