This is a copetin. Our most favorite pastime. Especially because it’s a big part of my memory of growing up in Buenos Aires. Every day, our grandmother would stop by in the late afternoon, for a copetin. The grownups would have a little whiskey or wine, some savory nibbles, and chat. And just spend some time together. Lodi in NY is an all-day restaurant/cafe by an Uruguayan chef who seems to know the exact sensibility of what my family wants in a copetin. It’s brand new but feels like home. And it’s delicious!

これがコペティンと言うものです。少なくとも我が家ではね。子供の頃から一番好きな時間だったかも。夕方位のアペリティーブ、大人はウィスキーやワインと共に。チーズなどのおつまみを食べながらおしゃべりして過ごす時間。毎日の様にアルゼンチンのおばあちゃんが家に寄る時間。そんな心地いい空間がニューヨークにも。売れっ子ウルグアイ人シェフ（ウルグアイとアルゼンチンは文化が似ている）のまあまあ新しい一日中開いているレストラン・カフェ、LODI。 毎日来れるな〜
