アメリカ独立記念日は花火の日！NYでは屋上があるバーやレストランは前もって予約しないと直ぐ満員になっちゃう。それにパーティー付きでお値段も何時もより高い！それか、何時間も前に行って陣取り。。。今年は去年と同じバーを予約してアルゼンから遊びに来ている家の家族と花火鑑賞！夕方になってからバーへ行ったからシャンパンは冷たいまま、日焼けもせずほとんど蚊に刺されなかった！

Independence Day in the US is fireworks day! In NY, all the rooftops with a view of the fireworks will throw some kind of party making it a challenge to secure your fireworks viewing venue. Things, of course, don’t come cheap. You either need to pay up for a reservation at such party or be ready to sit for a couple hours, often in the sun. We opted for reservations at a nice rooftop where our champagne remained cool. We had family from Argentina join us this year which made the day more special. So much so that we even made a stop by Times Square on the way home :)!
