I’ve had this Japanese kushi, comb, for a long time but only recently began using it and it’s amazing. In true Japanese tradition style, this comb is made by a shokunin at Juusanya, 十三や, which was established in 1736, isn’t that insane? My mom has always used this comb which is how I got this one when I tagged along to go buy a new one right where the artisan worker makes these combs by hand. Don’t you just love rediscoveries?

この櫛もう数えきれないくらい前から持っていたけど最近よく使うようになってその使い良さに目覚めました。この櫛は「十三や」と言う創業1736年お店で職人さんが一つ一つ手で作っているのを考えると、凄くない？もともと長年ここの櫛を使っているお母さんのお買い物に着いて行った時に私も！と言って職人さんから直接買ったものです。なんかこの様な再発見って嬉しいよね。
