NYがどんどん何でもグルメ化して行くのは日本に似ているよね。フードトラックでよく見かけるのがグルメアイスのVan Leeuwenナチュラルな材料しか使わなくって自然な上品な味！美味しいアイスだけではなくこの人達はとってもエコに励んでいます。プラスチックは一切使用してなくってアイスの冷凍庫もエネルギーをためて使っているからトラックのエンジンは運転中以外はほとんど使わないそうです。地球のお友達ですね。

Everything is gourmet these days. Lots of food movements. Lots of food trucks. One of the trucks I love running into is the Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream truck. They only use natural ingredients which makes some very yummy ice cream. I’m often disappointed because some of the best flavors sell out really quickly. The Van Leeuwen people are also very green. They don’t use any plastic, the cups and spoons are all compostable, they conserve energy by charging the freezer so they don’t need the truck’s engine to keep running. Earth friendly yummy people! 🙂
