August 10: Bar Nestor’s Chuletón

chuletón

Lunch time in San Sebastian. Ventured out to a tiny spot called Bar Néstor on a street called Pescadería. Here, they are known for their chuletón which is a flintstone size ribsteak. They let the beef do it’s thing and is just perfectly seasoned. Perfectly. It comes sizzling and you can let it cook more if you like your meats cooked through (I don’t). The whole giant of a steak disappeared so fast! I didn’t think it was possible to eat the whole thing but when something is so tasty, it’s just hard to stop! On top of that, they have this out-of-this-world tomato salad that one just simply cannot stop eating. Big plateful of ripe tomatoes bathed in the best olive oil and salt. Heaven! The flash fired pimientos verdes de Gernika were perfect too. Oh and did I tell you the staff is amazing too? I love this place!
