February 25: Live Chicken!

live chicken

We went to the most northern tip of Manhattan to Washington Heights to visit a friend. We walked around the neighborhood and went to see this chicken place that we’ve been curious about that sells live chicken (they slaughter it in-house). They also had ducks, “special” chickens, and rabbits. And at thanksgiving, I heard they have turkey, naturally. It’s a bit shocking at first but then it’s only bec we’re not used to it. But if you think about it, it makes sense. Apparently, it’s a fresh and healthy way to buy chicken. We were on our way to other places so I didn’t buy any this time but I think I want to try it at some point.
